April 8, 2021: Kickstarter Reports, April 2021 Update

Welcome to the monthly status report on our active Kickstarter campaigns. If a project doesn't appear in this report, then it is completed and behind us. As always, we ask that you follow us on Kickstarter – Steve Jackson Games and Warehouse 23 – to receive notice when we launch new campaigns. And there are some fun campaigns in the works and planned for launch this year!

Hexagram #6, an Old-School RPG Zine for The Fantasy Trip

  • November 17 to December 1 (2020)
  • 775 backers and on schedule
  • The container reached our primary fulfillment warehouse the last week of March. (Yes, that was late, but fortunately we're still on schedule.) The warehouse team will start shipping the rewards ASAP and we expect all packages to be on their way to backers by late this month. PDF fulfillment is complete.

Car Wars Sixth Edition by Steve Jackson Games

  • November 29 (2019) to January 6 (2020)
  • 3,936 backers, behind schedule
  • The factory is still making the game. At the moment, assembly at the factory is scheduled to start in mid-May. Once assembly starts, we'll be close enough to the completion date that we can start booking containers to carry the games from the factory to our warehouse.

That covers it as of this moment. We have two open projects, one that is entering physical fulfillment any day now and Car Wars. Car Wars, as you know, is a massive project and the tooling took much longer than anticipated. Fortunately, we're now in the manufacturing stage and everything is working its way to the finish line.

With Hexagram #6 moving into the fulfillment stage, we've prepared the Hexagram #7 Kickstarter campaign and will launch early next week. This will be one of our smaller campaigns and is expected to run for a single week. If you've not yet tried playing The Fantasy Trip, we're offering a reward level in the Hexagram #7 campaign that includes all you need to get started enjoying this classic fantasy roleplaying game.

What's after that? Wiz-War, the GURPS Girl Genius project, and a few other ideas that we're not ready to share. As always, please follow both Steve Jackson Games and Warehouse 23 on Kickstarter so that you don't miss any of our campaigns.
