October 1, 2014:
Munchkin Treasure Hunt has been out for a week now; if you're holding off on making the decision to buy because you're not sure what the game is like, Father Geek has you covered. He posted a comprehensive review of Treasure Hunt
a little while back; it tells you everything you need to know about the game, and also gives a summary of opinions on the game from a variety of different people . . .
October 2, 2014:
Munchkin has always been one of our biggest games. It struck a chord with gamers who liked the idea of some zany, back-stabbing fun mixed with a general lampooning of fantasy RPG tropes . . .
October 3, 2014:
Our good friend John Kovalic over at Dork Tower
put a great post up on his blog last week about his experience working on Munchkin Treasure Hunt
, and how it differed from other titles of ours that he's worked on. It's a fantastic read, and a good insight into what goes into making art for a game . . .
October 4, 2014:
Templates are a great way to get into GURPS
quicker and easier than you thought possible. Pick a profession and a few some options, and then bash bad guys or skulk in an alleyway! . . .
October 5, 2014:
Are you looking for a way to speed up GURPS
and make it easier to keep the game moving? Or perhaps you like ultra-competent heroes who can do what they do with aplomb? . . .
October 6, 2014:
Another review for Munchkin Treasure Hunt
is in! This time, Geek Dad John Booth has told us what he (and his nephews) think of the game, and they seem to really like it . . .
October 7, 2014:
Since 2004, I've published nine GURPS Fourth Edition
supplements and several Pyramid
articles. Many of these projects were highlights for me as an author . . .
October 8, 2014:
Hey, international SJ Games fans: ever wished your packages would get to you earlier? So do we! . . .
October 9, 2014:

October 10, 2014:
We've already worked with Topps a couple of times, when we made Munchkin Apocalypse Mars Attacks!
and Mars Attacks -- The Dice Game
. Well, we're working with them again, but this time we're making Garbage Pail Kids
games! . . .
October 11, 2014:
Tonight (Saturday the 11th) I'll be joining my friends Anne-Marie and Justin De Witt, aka Fireside Games, at the release party for Munchkin Panic
! It will be at Wonko's Toys and Games in northwest Austin from 6-9 pm . . .
October 12, 2014:
I'm taking it as a positive sign from The Powers That Be that Car Wars
has gotten a shiny, brand-new web page of its very own. It not only looks cool (thanks, Keith!), but it has all the links to Car Wars
resources throughout the netiverse that you'll need, plus a complete list of all available Car Wars
products, both digital and those existing within the space-time continuum, and links to their Warehouse 23 pages as well . . .
October 13, 2014:
It can now be told: I will be the Gaming Guest at JoCo Cruise Crazy next year! JoCo Cruise Crazy is the Jonathan Coulton cruise . . .
October 14, 2014:
This summer, while visiting family in Germany, I took a special trip over to our friends at Pegasus. I had a nice lunch chat over crepes with co-owner Karsten, marketing director Michael, and Peter the convention manager at Pegasus, who also runs their Supporter program . . .
October 15, 2014:
The folks over at Mighty Fine have been making Munchkin
shirts for us for a while now, and they're great. If you haven't seen them, you should go check them out because there are a lot of cool designs over there . . .
October 16, 2014:
We've talked before about the shiny new version of Munchkin
that's now on the shelves of many Walmart stores. But there's one thing we haven't revealed until now: the new bookmark that is in specially marked sets . . .
October 17, 2014:
I don't remember exactly which convention it was where I heard the news, but I remember exactly what I thought when Kromm and Pulver took me aside and told me that GURPS
was going to get a new, unified, streamlined edition. I thought, "Glad I don't have to do that." Well, the joke was on me in part, because I got hired on as Staff Writer for Steve Jackson Games and produced a lot of suggestions that weren't used and a few that were, most noticeably the "iconic characters" for GURPS Fourth Edition
. . .
October 18, 2014:
Hello, everyone! After a year as Marketing Director, I decided to move on to a new challenge . . .

Hey, it's almost Halloween! We at Steve Jackson Games love the spookiest time of the year, and not just because we spend the day at the office playing games on the clock . . .
October 21, 2014:
Munchkin Kobolds Ate My Baby!
All Hail King Torg!
A kobold has a harsh life. But at least there are babies to eat . . . until King Torg (All Hail King Torg!) swipes the plumpest and juiciest for his table . . .
October 22, 2014:
Good news, everybody! Garbage Pail Kids: Super Snot Shots
is up on Warehouse 23 for you to buy. This game is a gross little dexterity game based on the classic trading cards by Topps, and it's quite a lot of fun . . .
October 23, 2014:
I remember my first encounter with GURPS
, back in the early '90s. Two of my players had "converted" to this new system, and kept trying to drag me in . . .
October 24, 2014:
Are you a gamer in a Spanish-speaking country? Then you might be interested in these two reviews by Oscar Gonzalez . . .
October 25, 2014:
If you're a science-fiction GURPS
gamer, you need GURPS Ultra-Tech
. But sometimes you're in a hurry, and all you need are the stats . . .
October 27, 2014:
Randy and I are just about to get on a plane to head to LAX, where we'll get on another plane, fly for (ugh) 15 or 16 hours, and land in Melbourne bright and eager to attend PAX Australia! If you're going to be there, we hope you'll come by and try out some new games or play some old favorites with us . . .

Since so many projects have been successfully completed recently (Car Wars Classic
and Mars Attacks: The Dice Game
reprints in progress, Munchkin Treasure Hunt
launched, multiple sales meetings met and won, my new toy book off to the printer) I decided that it's time to escape. (And the staff were making those "you better get away from me" grumbles that happen when I've been stressed crazier than usual.) . . .
October 30, 2014:
After playing Munchkin Panic
many times at Austin Comic Con, Nashville Comic Con, and the Munchkin Panic
release party, I'm excited to finally see it in Warehouse 23!
' Munchkin Panic
out of the dungeons and up defending towers. In this semi-backstabbing, semi-cooperative, tower defense board game you aim to keep the castle standing and get the most loot . . .
October 31, 2014:
Muertoons is a really, really cool show for kids about five girls living in a Dia de los Muertos-inspired world. It's got a striking visual style, and focuses on themes of friendship and cooperation . . .
