September 8, 2021: Kickstarter Reports, September 2021 Update

Where does the time go??? It feels like only yesterday we were starting the new year, and now we're approaching the final months of 2021? The world is as weird as ever, but at least we have games to keep us entertained as we live through an apocalypse unlike any we were prepared to face. I mean, I was 100% ready for a nuclear exchange, or an invasion by hostile forces, but nothing could have prepared me to live through a global pandemic or the manufacturing and freight issues we face daily. The world is a bit of a mess right now.

As you've guessed by now, we present these monthly Kickstarter reports to highlight the status of each open/active project. Read on, and then visit each campaign page to learn all about the projects. Random Fun Generator 2, Dice Games from Steve Jackson Games

• Launching September 23, 2021
• A collection of over 20 new dice games! This is a sequel to last year's Random Fun Generator project, but you don't need the first book to play these new games.

Steve Jackson's Munchkin Promo Card and Bookmark Booklets

• August 16 to August 26
• 1,078 backers and on schedule
• The project closed successfully, the new level die is in our warehouse, and we've placed the order for the two promo booklets and several new bookmarks. Now all we have to do is wait for the booklets and bookmarks to arrive and for the surveys to close. Then we can start shipping the rewards!

Steve Jackson Games' GURPS 2021 PDF Challenge

• July 8 to July 19
• 2,153 backers and ahead of schedule
• We are in the final stages of fulfillment and on track to complete the project ahead of schedule. All of the project's print rewards shipped before the end of August.

The Fantasy Trip Quick Quests 2 and 3, Two New Adventures

• June 1 to June 6
• 587 backers and behind schedule
• Printing delays on the Labyrinth Encounter Cards slowed us down, but the cards are in and fulfillment has started. We are roughly a month behind schedule.

Car Wars Sixth Edition by Steve Jackson Games

• November 29 (2019) to January 6 (2020)
• 3,936 backers, behind schedule
• The first few containers have reached the warehouse, but we are still waiting for the last two to arrive. We'll begin shipping the games just as soon as we can. Warehouse 23 pre-orders are now open for those of you who missed the Kickstarter campaign.

As to new campaigns, we have several that are lining up and waiting for their turn on Kickstarter. We would like to use other crowdfunding platforms -- we have more projects than the Kickstarter site will allow us to run at a time -- so some energy this month will definitely be devoted to again exploring our options.
